A day in the life of a Princess.

It would be dawn at the early cry of the rooster,
I wake up and yawn...
The curtains came unravelling...
The magnificent windows throw light on the gilded mirrors,
Shone upon my eyes as they wavered..

Emily held my hand,
with the fragility of a feather..
Lead me to a cauldron,
brimming with marigold, rose, virgin olive...
Brushed my mane with tender, loving strokes..
Wiped away the night from my body....
Placed a  giant teakwood box before me,
As I stood quivering, the feel of plush satin...
Wore me down in a curvy silhouette- a lovable amethyst..
Leaned my hands against the gilded mirror,
As emily, now not so gently,
strapped every ounce of my torso in an hourglass corset, upon my not so hourglass figure...
Pulled it, and cursed it...
My face now with a desirable paleness,
embellished with rouge,
Hair teased into gentle curls and pompous bumps...

I strode down the cherry, oak and walnut corridors..
A smile upon my face,
Blistered with royalty..
