Die Hippie

I am aware that the title of this post could be a little blunt but that's the way I like it.

'Die Hippie'
Remember, it's not a movement to kill hippies. No, that would be 'Die, Hippie'.

Rather, I am in full awe of hippies and am myself a little hippie at heart. The concept came into my mind during my internship at Greenpeace India, where everybody proudly denounced themselves as hippies. Hippies love nature in its natural form and embrace peace and view the world symbolically. This is what the world desperately needs at the moment and these are the only kind of people who make sacrifices for forces that don't have a voice of their own like the air, water, trees, even animals. I know it's cool to have an Iphone but well, iCloud isn't easy on the environment. I know we can't pass a day without our lovely Microsoft apps and gadgets but it consumes so much energy that the forests have to pay the price. First of all, there are always alternatives lurking to everything just like where there's yin there's yang. I won't dwell on how cloud computing isn't the best idea on here, but my point is that there is always another way until you start believing that there isn't.

Short and sweet, die hippie because that's not just another way to die but the best way to die.

  1. But cloud computing is far more efficient that the normal form of computing we follow :) Plus with all the computing processors at one place, we can encourage green power sources :)
